Looking for an online MPC? Shuffle Drummer brings the MPC-style workflow to the browser: pads, real swing, timing correct and sample chopping — free, in any modern browser, with nothing to install. It was built by hip-hop producers who spent 25+ years on hardware pads.
Shuffle Drummer is an original instrument inspired by the MPC. If you were looking for an MPC simulator or an MPC emulator online, it is neither: it does not run Akai's software or copy its sounds. What it takes from the MPC is the workflow: 16 pads in 4 banks, a swing engine, timing correct, off-grid nudging, sample chopping to pads, and the online MPC sampler side, with slicing and pitch. If what you want is the hands-on MPC way of making beats without the hardware, this is it.
Plug in your MPC or MIDI controller
Shuffle Drummer speaks Web MIDI in Chrome and Edge. The MPC pad layout maps Akai pads to the right sounds, so a controller or an MPC plays the machine straight away. With an Akai MPC Sample connected over USB, pad A1 plays pad 1, A2 the kick, and banks B–D switch pad pages. Hit REC on the machine and it can also start your MPC recording over MIDI.

Who's behind it
Shuffle Drummer is developed by Mani Deïz, a French hip-hop producer making beats since 1998, together with three friends. It's built from scratch on the Web Audio API with zero dependencies. Pair it with the online drum machine guide or the lo-fi beat maker for more ideas.
